A PRAYER TO SEKHMET
Sekhmet, Lady of Life, Daughter of RA,
Smiter of the enemies of mankind,
although evil surrounds me,
I feel comforted within Your Protective aura.
You show me how to walk unafraid.
I am never alone with You by my side.
Sekhmet, Great Lady of Healing,
Inside your beneficent grace, I rejoice,
at once Renewed by Your touch
and the vigor of Your love.
Your penetrating gaze causes
my weak body to dispell dis-ease
and heal my wounds.
Sekhmet, Exalted One of Beauty,
I open my self to the wonder of life
and accept the miracles You bring.
From the light of your being,
You teach me to stand tall
to become a beacon to others,
by lighting up the darkness
with my own light.
